Take Off Surf School is all about helping people truly learn to surf—understanding the ocean, improving their skills, and building confidence in the water. The focus is on quality instruction, personal growth, and a strong connection to nature.

Founded by Jesús Zabala, a passionate surfer with the dream of creating a space where anyone can learn in a safe, fun, and supportive way, Take Off offers more than just surf lessons.

To help students progress faster, the school integrates extra training tools like surf skate, apnea (breathwork), functional workouts, ice baths, and more… These activities are part of the learning process and are designed to strengthen the body, sharpen the mind, and improve overall surf performance.

The team is made up of experienced local instructors who know the waves inside out. They offer guidance in multiple languages and create a positive, professional environment for surfers of all levels.

Super expérience avec Naira en prof de surf, elle est de très bon conseils, très pédagogique et patiente. J'ai vu une réelle évolution entre le début et la fin de la session.
Rapport qualité prix très bien (150€ pour un cours à deux personnes), ce n'est pas une usine à touriste!
Le gérant est très accueillant, on se sent toute suite à l'aise quand on arrive.
Nous avons fait le déplacement depuis Montezuma sans regret ! Encore merci !

The three of us had a wonderful surf lesson. Nathan and Naira were our teachers and helped us understand not only how the get on the board and catch a wave, but also about the ocean and the currents and the need to identify a landmarks on shore to ensure you are not floating off. We had our first surfing lesson (ever!) here by Kendall Vargas and it was amazing! He was very informative and told us everything we needed to know in concise steps. Eventhough both me and my girlfriend were absolute surfing amateurs we both managed to stand up on the board a couple of times, which was more than we hoped for! 10/10! Highly recommend. The instructors were so knowledgeable, took the time to teach us about the ocean and the basics of surfing. I was with a group of 3 other girls who were all hesitant and nervous about the ocean and surfing and they made us feel so comfortable. We were all able to stand up on the board and ride the waves.
